I started talking about wheels and wheelchairs on LinkedIn and then I started connecting with people within the community. I learned about Disability Pride month, which is a month I never heard of before celebrating disability.” – Isaac Harvey

So often, people wish for what they don’t have, focusing on titles, power, or the things missing from their lives. It’s easy to forget how much value we have inside and the blessings already around us—like the simple freedom to move, breathe, and discover each new day. Our minds sometimes get stuck on what’s next or what we wish was different, instead of seeing the good that’s in front of us right now.

But leadership doesn’t begin with having more. Leadership starts by being real—honest about who you are and where you’re at. Creativity grows when you let go of old limits and look at your world in a new way, seeing each challenge as a reason to try, learn, and shine. When you connect these qualities—leadership, creativity, and authenticity—you become someone who not only shapes your own story but gives hope to others.

Meet Isaac Harvey

Isaac Harvey‘s journey is a true example of this. Born with limb and pelvic hypoplasia, he lives with no arms and short legs, facing daily difficulties most of us can’t imagine. Isaac could have focused on what he didn’t have. Instead, he used his creativity and honest voice to bring people together, inspire new conversations, and stand up for real change.

Being a leader, for Isaac, is about much more than leading others. It means sharing your real story, listening, and learning every day. His creativity isn’t just about making content—it’s about seeing obstacles as new doors. Each post, talk, and connection lets his authentic self shine—and reminds us all that true strength is about showing up as we are.

  • Leadership is sharing, listening, and being humble and real.

  • Purpose makes you strong; when you share it, you help others.
  • Honesty connects us. When you’re real, people listen and feel less alone.
  • Change begins when you open your mind and let yourself learn new ways.
Why This Matters To You?

Maybe you also feel like you’re missing something, or wonder when you’ll be “enough” to lead, create, or inspire. Isaac’s example shows it starts by accepting where you are, working with what you’ve got, and telling your own story, honestly and openly. When you lead with kindness, use your creativity, and stay true to yourself, great things can happen.

Even though I was born with my disability and the different challenges that come with it, I’ve had very supportive friends and family. The world does have its challenges. With disability, I’ve had to find ways of overcoming certain obstacles and I’ve had to be quite strategic.” – Isaac Harvey.
